MERIT is hiring an Offline Performance Marketing Manager to lead paid media initiatives across diverse channels. This role will be instrumental in enhancing the brand’s presence and reach through strategic advertising placements across a variety of non-digital channels, including television, print, direct mail, OOH and audio. This opportunity is ideal for a self-motivated, technically savvy marketer who is comfortable managing a budget to drive consideration and purchase of MERIT products. This role will work cross-functionally and report to the Director of Performance Marketing.

The successful candidate will have a keen understanding of the media landscape, as well as the ability to negotiate and purchase advertising placements effectively. A talent for optimizing advertising efforts to target specific demographics and markets to drive traffic and sales is required. The ideal candidate should also have a proven track record of success in driving growth through offline channels.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the strategy and execution of top of funnel marketing focused primarily on offline media including television, print, direct mail, OOH and audio while adhering to established budgets and timelines
  • Conduct research, including competitive analysis, media partner evaluation and cost analysis, to drive new ways of generating site traffic and revenue
  • Cultivate strong relationships with media partners and vendors including contract negotiation
  • Gather and monitor campaign results, prepare reports and conduct financial analysis.
  • Manage creative assets and ensure timely deliverables for all campaigns
  • Stay current on the latest news, technologies and trends across the industry

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a media buyer, with specific expertise in offline channels
  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to secure advantageous advertising rates
  • Excellent analytical abilities to evaluate media buying options and track performance
  • Exceptional organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple campaigns simultaneously
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills for effective vendor management and team collaboration
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets required
  • Familiar with data platforms including Google Analytics 4 and Looker
  • Recent experience working in a fast-paced, high growth rate, start-up type of environment

This role is based in LA; successful candidates must have the ability to work in office 2-3 days per week.

We are proud to offer a comprehensive and competitive benefits package in addition to salary compensation. The annual salary for this role is $100,000 - $125,000, in addition to bonus potential, stock options, a 401(k) match, health benefits, paid time off and more. The final salary will be determined based on a variety of factors, including the individual's experience and qualifications.
